What are AMIE exam timings?

FN: 10 to 1 (Forenoon)

AN: 2.30 to 5.30 (Afternoon)

Section A Diploma stream: Only one subject daily (10 to 1)

Others: Two subjects per day

What does Summer And Winter AMIE Exams mean?

Summer exams are held in the month of June in first week (generally from first Saturday). Winter exams are held in the month of December in first week (generally from first Saturday).

Can I plan my strategy for AMIE studies on the basis of exam scheme?

Yes, you can. Just look at exam scheme of the last few semesters. You will notice that it is just the same! What does it mean? Well, based on this, you can plan your studies! 

Example: Suppose you are appearing in Section A. You can either appear in all four subjects (do this if you have plenty of time to prapare for AMIE exams) or less than four subjects. In later case, opt two subjects only in such a manner that their is gap of one day in between. It will give you enough time for revision. Next time, opt remaining two subjects. This will ensure good grades.

What do FN and AN mean?

FN means morning session and AN means afternoon session.

Is it true that Section A (Diploma Stream) exams are conducted once in day and Section B, twice a day?

Yes, it is true. Timing for Section A (Diploma stream) exam is 10 AM to 1 PM. For Section B, it is twice a day - 10 to 1 and 2.30 to 5.30.

Is it true that AMIE exams generally start from first Saturday?

Yes, to take advantage of two weekend holidays in many institutes. It suits to both IEI and AMIE aspirants!
